Danielle Vella and Her Top Healthy Habits
Danielle Vella is a Lifestyle & Wellness Blogger based in Melbourne. Currently studying Nutrition and Health Coaching. Danielle recently launched Plan Eat Glow, her first collection of downloadable Weekly Meal Planners. Her blog is a curation of healthy recipes, fitness style and sustainable living. We asked her to share her top healthy habits with us.
Tell us a little about you?
I am passionate about healthy living, keeping active, a recipe creator, foodie, recently created a range of meal planner printables & notepad. I love fresh coffee, farmers markets, outdoors and going home to Adelaide. Amongst all that I am a Mum of two young girls, married and we live in outer Melbourne.
I am also currently studying to be a nutrition and health coach, about to take the plunge onto further studies. Very excited all that is unfolding! You are never too old to follow your passion.
What is your favourite way to move and be active?
I love the outdoors, I love being amongst nature so definitely walking and hiking! I really enjoy hiking and as a family we have been to some beautiful places to hike the past few months. Then the gym I love a good early morning weight session to get myself energised for the day
How do you keep your mind and body active?
These are daily non-negotiables for me! Body is a minimum of 12k steps everyday and weekly weight sessions. As for mind, I make sure I read 20 mins every day of a physical book. Another mindfulness activity I have enjoyed recently is a “paint by numbers” art piece I’m working on, it switches my mind off everything. I would also love to say yoga and meditation but I am certainly not consistent at the moment with those haha!

What is your go to dk active piece?
This is a tough one! I would have to say the Signature 7/8 are my all time favourite. The high waist, perfect length on me (I’m short!) and comfy fabric. The new coral colour I am loving for the cooler weather, just throw on some white sneakers and an oversized coat. Speaking of cooler weather the Orion Top follows close behind! It is definitely an essential down here in Melbourne!
