Our aim was to promote body positivity and acceptance in the activewear world, and one of the best ways to do this was by releasing our line of pregnancy workout gear. As a brand, we’re not supposed to have favourites. But of course, we absolutely do. At dk active, we love a good workout tight. Especially ones that come up and over our bump and keep us – and bub of course – comfortable, and supported. Of course, we’re talking about our ‘Lotus’ maternity long tight.

The ‘Lotus’ long maternity tight is an actual full length tight. They’re perfect for everyday wear, or for working out. This is because they’re made from our elixir fabric, which is as soft as butter and sustainably manufactured. As was mentioned, they’re a full length tight, covering down to the ankle as opposed to the usual mid-calf cut off, and they’re high waisted enough to fully cover your bump instead of only coming up to a mid-rise height.

In the lotus long maternity tight, there is a bamboo lining, which keeps you cool and comfortable if you choose to work out, and also a soft encased elastic, which keeps the leggings in place whilst you’re walking around doing your day to day activities.

Whilst we are unable to offer refunds on a simple change of mind about our products, we will provide you with a gift voucher for store credit so that you can exchange your items and you won't have lost out.

We offer store credit for goods returned for more than just that reason, we also offer it in the case of the wrong size or colour being ordered, and unpaid customs duties or tax where our international customers are concerned.

We accept returns within 30 days from when you receive your item. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns that arrive after this time period has expired. To make sure that all your items are eligible for return to us for either a refund – if they’re faulty – or an exchange in return for store credit, there are a few simple guidelines that we ask you to follow. These are:

The product being received by us for return within the time frame mentioned above;
The product being unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging;
You having proof of purchase
The products being unwashed, unworn, and with their original tags intact.

Exercise During Your Pregnancy With Our Gym Gear

Yes, you can exercise during pregnancy. This means you have the perfect excuse to let everyone see your super cute, supportive, and comfortable pregnancy gym gear. It is recommended that you avoid doing certain exercises; however, there are several that are specifically recommended to do during pregnancy, such as pilates.

Doing pilates during your pregnancy helps to maintain your abdominal muscle tone. This supports your growing bub, and your bump while minimising back pain. It can also help with labour, as it prepares you for pushing. Whilst mat classes can sometimes be an issue as your bump gets bigger and so much of the class takes place lying on your back, you can get around this by using an angled foam spine support, which will keep your head above your stomach.

Yoga is also a great way to strengthen your core. Doing prenatal yoga also improves your flexibility whilst allowing you to gain a sense of calm in an otherwise chaotic time. This is in thanks to its gentle movements, and the strong emphasis on breathing and meditation. It’s advisable in the 2^nd trimester although beyond that, you should avoid the more complex poses that require twists which tug on your bump, and moves that require you to lie on your stomach for long periods, headstands and other inverted poses.

Products must be registered with AMCL and must meet the criteria in the Code of Practice to use the logo. To us here at dk active, we’re proud to be a brand and a company that are entitled to use the AMAG logo. This is because we want to promote home-grown talent. Our aim in supporting this ‘home-grown talent’ is to support industries and jobs here in Australia.

In addition to this, having the ability to use the AMAG logo means that we have control over how our garments are made, and most importantly, the conditions within the factory that our garments are made in. We want to ensure fair working conditions for everyone involved in our manufacturing process, from our founder Danielle to our designers. We also manufacture all our own products here in Brisbane.
